Oral history

Thanks to e-Mediateka project many recordings will be available. Were chosen  interviews with people connected with Bialystok (among others: artists, athletes, enthusiasts, “ordinary” citizens of Bialystok, Esperantists) which show a diverse range of topics. They are located within broad framework of possible time, refer to  history of Bialystok and Podlasie, taking into account topics involving stories of people from Bialystok or Podlasie, but sometimes beyond the geographical area (e.g. bieżeństwo, deportations, Warsaw uprising, emigration). Moreover Mediateka CLZ as the only one in Poland multimedia library contains wide documentation Esperanto movement, and this part of the collection will be also presented in e-Mediateka. Users will have an opportunity to get to know with whole interviews or fragments, connected with chosen topics.

Oral history

Mozolewski Janusz

Janusz Mozolewski born the 8th of March 1941 in Bialystok, in the family of Aniela (nee Dragowska) and Waclaw Mozolewski. His father worked on building site. To 1964 he lived on Bojary, on Piasta street no. 146. In 1957 belonging to sport club “Zryw” he took part in Regional Championship in athletics in Bialystok (stadium on Zwierzyniec). He took second place in high jump. On this result he finished his adventure with athletics. In 1959 he began training box in sport club “Polonia”, then he moved to sport club “Gwardia”. From October 1963 he was doing the military service in Internal Security Corps (KBW). In 1969 he gained brown medal in Polish Championship in Boxing in Mielec. In 1973 or 1974 he resigned from practicing box, he finished boxing instructor course. He trained juniors in “Gwardia”. Because of the lack of the regular post about 1975 he resigned from this activity. About 1977 he began job in Voivodship Command of Militia in Lomza.
