Oral history

Thanks to e-Mediateka project many recordings will be available. Were chosen  interviews with people connected with Bialystok (among others: artists, athletes, enthusiasts, “ordinary” citizens of Bialystok, Esperantists) which show a diverse range of topics. They are located within broad framework of possible time, refer to  history of Bialystok and Podlasie, taking into account topics involving stories of people from Bialystok or Podlasie, but sometimes beyond the geographical area (e.g. bieżeństwo, deportations, Warsaw uprising, emigration). Moreover Mediateka CLZ as the only one in Poland multimedia library contains wide documentation Esperanto movement, and this part of the collection will be also presented in e-Mediateka. Users will have an opportunity to get to know with whole interviews or fragments, connected with chosen topics.

Zejdler Andrzej

Andrzej Zejdler, born the 10th of March 1962 in Bialystok, he graduated Electrical Vocational High School in Bialystok, later English Philology on University in Bialystok, he worked among others as electronic fitter in Provincial Cooperative Disabled “Odnowa” in Bialystok and Bialystok Company of TV Componentry “Unitra-Biazet, senior referent in Esperanto Tourism Office “Esperantotur” in Bydgoszcz – department in Bialystok, manager of tourism affairs in “Esperanto-Servis” private limited company in Bialystok, at present he is an English teacher in I Secondary School name A. Mickiewicz in Bialystok. Membership in organizations: Polish Association of Esperantists Provincial Department in Bialystok (1988-1990), Bialystok Association of Esperantists (from 1990). Interests: Esperanto, English, computers, short wave radios.
