Oral history

Thanks to e-Mediateka project many recordings will be available. Were chosen  interviews with people connected with Bialystok (among others: artists, athletes, enthusiasts, “ordinary” citizens of Bialystok, Esperantists) which show a diverse range of topics. They are located within broad framework of possible time, refer to  history of Bialystok and Podlasie, taking into account topics involving stories of people from Bialystok or Podlasie, but sometimes beyond the geographical area (e.g. bieżeństwo, deportations, Warsaw uprising, emigration). Moreover Mediateka CLZ as the only one in Poland multimedia library contains wide documentation Esperanto movement, and this part of the collection will be also presented in e-Mediateka. Users will have an opportunity to get to know with whole interviews or fragments, connected with chosen topics.

Fiszer-Dolińska Walentyna

Walentyna Fiszer-Dolińska, born the 1st of February 1943 in Topczewo, podlaskie voivodship, she graduated Mikolaj Kopernik University, field of study maths (1962 – 67), Postgraduate Study in Computer Science for Teachers, Kalisz – Nowy Sącz (1983 – 84), she worked as maths teacher in First Secondary School for Working in Bialystok (1967 – 74), maths and physics in High School in Absentia in Bialystok (1974 – 80), maths teacher in Sixth High School name Zygmunt August in Bialystok (1977/78), maths, computer science and Esperanto in First High School in Bialystok name Adam Mickiewicz (1980 – 90), in Esperanto Tourism Office “Esperantotur” in Bialystok, office management and piloting trips (1990 – 2000). Membership in organizations: during studies among others Polish Students Associations (1962 – 1967), Academic Sport Association (1962 – 1966), Esperantists Students Circle (1964 – 67) on University of Mikolaj Kopernik in Torun (chairwomen in 1965 – 67), after study among others Polish Association of Esperantists (since 1965), youth section – Polish Youth Esperantists (chairwoman of Main Management PME in 1970 – 1971), Monda Turismo, at the Esperanto Tourist Office in Bydgoszcz (since 1998). Personal and private life: married between 1971 – 1996 with Michal Dolinski (he was also Esperantist, died in 1996); daughters: Marta (economist, polyglot), born in 1974. Interests: Esperanto, tourism and travels, art, gardens.
