Oral history

Thanks to e-Mediateka project many recordings will be available. Were chosen  interviews with people connected with Bialystok (among others: artists, athletes, enthusiasts, “ordinary” citizens of Bialystok, Esperantists) which show a diverse range of topics. They are located within broad framework of possible time, refer to  history of Bialystok and Podlasie, taking into account topics involving stories of people from Bialystok or Podlasie, but sometimes beyond the geographical area (e.g. bieżeństwo, deportations, Warsaw uprising, emigration). Moreover Mediateka CLZ as the only one in Poland multimedia library contains wide documentation Esperanto movement, and this part of the collection will be also presented in e-Mediateka. Users will have an opportunity to get to know with whole interviews or fragments, connected with chosen topics.

Gołąbiewski Zbigniew

Gołąbiewski Zbigniew

Zbigniew Gołąbiewski was born in 1940 (age 74), in Olmonty, near Białystok (Podlaskie Voivodeship). He graduated from Technical School of Shipbuilding Industry in Gdańsk and, in 1961, from Engineering College in Białystok. In 1960, he began to work in the Factory of Tooling and Chucks. In the years 1960-63 he worked as a turner; 1964-65 as an experimental division technologist; 1965-71 as a constructor; 1971-76 as a manager of tool-room and from 1976 to 1988 as a director of the production. In 1988, he resigned from his job in the factory. He set up his own company “PROMOTECH”. Member of the organization: Metalworkers` Trade Union, Association of Polish Engineers and Mechanical Technicians, president of the Metalworkers Club, Polish Yacht Club- Białystok, Polish United Workers‘ Party. Personal and family life: wife Grażyna, daughters Małgorzata, Małgorzata, Monika. Interests and hobbies: sailing and golf.
